Brindlee Mountain’s varsity volleyball team split a pair of matches Thursday while the JV team won twice as both teams eye the Marshall County Tournament, which is today at Arab.

The varsity defeated Hanceville 25-19, 25-11 before losing to St. Bernard 19-25-22-25. The JV team beat Hanceville 25-17, 25-15 and topped St. Bernard 25-18, 15-25, 15-6.

On Tuesday, the varsity lost to Holly Pond 15-25, 16-25. The JV team lost to Holly Pond 4-25, 16-25.

In middle school action on Tuesday, the seventh grade team lost to Scottsboro 3-25, 11-25. The eighth grade lost to Scottsboro 13-25, 20-25 and also lost to Douglas 14-25, 18-25. The eighth grade team played Fairview twice on Thursday and lost all four sets.
