The third and final Future Patriot Football Camp will be today at Union Hill School beginning at 6 p.m. There is no cost to participate.

Any student ages 5 to 12 who attend any of the five Brewer High School feeder schools can attend. Those include also Eva, Cotaco, Lacey’s Spring and Sparkman.

Similar camps were held at Eva on Monday and Cotaco on Tuesday.

New Brewer head coach Matt Plunkett also has announced that a Meet the Patriots event will be held Aug. 12 at the Brewer High School Stadium. A youth football combine starts at 4 p.m. and will lead into a introductory meeting that will include all band members, volleyball players, cross country runners, cheerleaders and all football players, including those in youth football.

Cost to enter for non-participants will be $5.

Brewer High School and middle school will begin practice on Aug. 2. The Patriots’ picture day is Aug. 7. They’ll open the season Aug. 20, at home against Danville.
