Logan Alldredge had three long touchdown runs in the second half as the Arab Junior Varsity football team ended its season on a winning note Monday, defeating Boaz 38-27.

After quarterback Eli Morrison accounted for much of the team’s first half production. Alldredge took over in the second half. With Arab up 16-13 entering the second half, Alldredge scored on a 69-yard run with 6:30 to go in the third quarter, then he ran 65 yards for another score with 3:03 left in the period.

Alldredge capped his big night with a clinching 54-yard TD run with 4:12 left in the game. He also ran in the two-point conversion, his second of the game.

Boaz scored late to make the final 38-27. The Pirates stayed close all game with a productive offense of their own, but a Kaiden Story fumble recovery on the Arab 31 late in the third quarter helped the Knights’ cause, as did a Dylan Morrow interception in the end zone with 6:34 to play.

Morrison had a 4-yard TD run with 4:15 left in the first quarter, then he passed to Gabe Norton for the two-point conversion.

With Arab (3-2) leading 8-6 in the second quarter, Morrison passed 28 yards to Caleb Perkins for a TD. Alldredge’s conversion run made it 16-6 but Boaz scored late in the half to make it 16-13.

Arab also scored a two-point conversion in the third quarter on pass from Morrison to Aiden Wooten.
