Mr. Williams was born Aug. 15, 1941, in Marshall County to Bud Williams and Myra Nell Short Williams.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping and boating on Lake Guntersville, and spending time with his family and friends.

He was a member at Arab First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Duane and Tammy Williams; daughters and sons-in-law: Toni Lynette Williams, Pamela and Rich Thacker, Pat and Keeter Hamrick; brothers and sister-in-law: Robert and Sandra Williams, Johnny Williams; sisters and brother-in-law: Dana Cochran, Glenda Clark, Dawn and Verlon Hagga; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great, great-grandchildren; and many special friends.

He preceded in death by a son: David Houston Williams.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2020, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Duane Williams and Brad Williams officiating. Burial was in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.

Pallbearers were Brandon Weigel, Jeff Clark, Don Clark, Tommy Milner, Bill Cochran and Johnny Williams.
