Tommy Paul Gibson, 62, of Boaz and formerly of Union Grove died Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.

Mr. Gibson was born June 7, 1958, in Marshall County to James Paul and Georgia Lewis Gibson. He was married to the former Melanie Lowery for 37 years.

He was a farmer that loved his cattle, horse and dogs. He always had a dog from early in his life. His animals loved him as much as he loved them. In his younger days, he also loved fishing, skiing and boating.

He is survived by his wife: Melanie Gibson; mother: Georgia Gibson; sister: Paula Parker (Carlton); sister-in-law: Mitzi Tarvin; father-in-law: Frank Lowery (Annette); nieces and nephews: Jimmy, Christy, Alan, Amanda, Clayton, Paul, Tonia, Jeremiah; 10 great nieces and great nephews; and a host of family and friends.

The funeral service was July 28, 2020, at First Baptist Church Union Grove followed by the burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tim Brown, Scott Underwood, Pete Harden, Alan Hood, Paul Parker, Clayton Gosselin, Jeremiah Arrington and Phil Hall.

Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Parker, Robert Conley and Mike Harden.
