The Rev. Rayford Hanvey

The Rev. Rayford Morland Hanvey, 81, of Arab died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, at Marshall Medical Center North.

The Rev. Hanvey was born Oct. 1, 1939, to William Albert Hanvey and Thelma Holloway Hanvey. He was married to Corinth Ann Hanvey, who preceded him in death.

He was the current pastor at Brindlee Mountain Church of God.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Glenda and Troy Stanley, Debbie and Ken Sypher, Teresa Trent; grandchildren and in-laws: Amber and Scott Saylor, Ashley and Jason Gronczniak, Tiffany and Trey Lashley, Jessica Stanley, Haley and Ethan Seely, Debbie and Josh Shrontz; great -grandchildren,: Hunter Gronczniak, Kayden Gronczniak, Karli Gronczniak, Olivia Saylor, Jude Shrontz, Dallas Seely.

He is preceded in death by a son: Johnny Parrish; and son-in-law: Steve Trent.

A private family graveside service will be held Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at the Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel

Pallbearers will be Jason Gronczniak, Trey Lashley, Hunter Gronczniak, Scott Saylor, Josh Shrontz, Ethan Seely and Troy Stanley.
