Whitehorn

Teddy “Ted” Lloyd Whitehorn, 77, of the Grassy community of Arab died Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Whitehorn was born Sept. 27, 1942, in Rector, Ark., to Tommie Elvis Whitehorn and Opal Adelia Hawkins. He was married to the former Linda Sue Vaughn for 59 years.

He completed high school and obtained his G.E.D. and shortly after enlisted in the United States Army and National Guard. He retired as First Sgt. and then began a career with Syncro in Arab, where he was employed as its maintenance supervisor.

After retirement, he focused on life smallest pleasures. He loved to go camping and traveling as well as woodworking. In his earlier years, he liked to hunt and fish.

He was a well-respected member and deacon of the Sweet Home Baptist Church

He is survived by his wife: Linda Whitehorn; son and daughter-in-law: Terry Sr. and Carrie Whitehorn; daughters and sons-in-law: Tammy and Anthony Selby and Janina and Steve Curley; brother and sister-in-law: Leon and Julee Whitehorn; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, 2020, at Sweet Home Baptist Church with Ryan Childres, Andy Brown and Tim Lynch officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.

Pallbearers were Chad Fieger, T.J. Whitehorn , Daniel Dailey, Chris Selby, Jarrod Phillips, Rob Smith, and Austin Dailey as casket escort.
