Roy John Duquette, 64, of Arab died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children.

Mr. Duquette was born April 18, 1956, in Malone, N.Y., to Albert and Evelyn Duquette. He was married to Lorrie Duquette, who preceded him in death.

He was a graduate of Franklin Academy High School.

He was best known for his giant personality and his deep love of family and friends, both near and far. He was often referred to as the “glue” in his family. He loved family gatherings and loved supporting his children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors.

He and his wife were avid campers. He loved spending time in the outdoors and socializing with his camp family.

He is survived by his children and in-laws: Jessica and Brad Watts, Kory and April Duquette and Jason and Lindsay Duquette; grandchildren: Mitchell Duquette, Josie Duquette, Jakob Duquette, Lukas Duquette, Ben Watts and Josh Watts; and sisters: Florence LaRock, Carol Wood and Anna Stafford

Due to the current pandemic, his burial service and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family requests that people make donations in support of the National Cancer Society, in lieu of sending flowers.
