Nathalene Graham Guest, 99, of Montgomery died Sunday March 28, 2021, at her residence.
Mrs. Guest was born in Hokes Bluff to Hoyt and Vindia Richey Graham. She was married to James L. Guest, who preceded her in death.
She spent her childhood years on her family’s farm in Grove Oak.
She graduated from Geraldine High School, attended Jacksonville State College and graduated from Athens State College with a bachelor of science in elementary education.
She taught at John S. Jones Elementary School in Gadsden as a reading and math specialist for the Title I program until her retirement.
She lived in Montgomery with her daughter and son-in-law since 2002.
She was survived by her son and daughter-in-law: James Larry Guest and Gloria Scott of Hokes Bluff; daughter and son-in-law: Jimmy Ann and Larry Campbell of Montgomery; grandchildren and in-laws: Heather and Steve Thornton of Wetumpka, Troy Campbell and Kelly Siniard of Wetumpka, Ryan Guess of Hokes Bluff and Jamie Guest and Renee Trimm of Glenco; great-grandchildren and in-laws: Lindsay and Wesley Sanders of Highland Home, Logan Guest of Rainbow City, and Stephen Thornton, Campbell Thornton, Cole Campbell and Cameron Campbell of Wetumpka; great, great-grandchildren: Wilson Sanders and Kate Sanders of Highland Home: sister-in-law: Bobbie Graham of Birmingham; a host of nieces and nephews; and caregivers: Laura Thomas, Quivis Bowens, Emily Stinson and Modeko Laprade of Montogmery.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Charles Graham, Briggs Graham and John Dock Graham; and sisters: Capitola Keller, Mary Leak and Della Culpepper Stevens.
The funeral was at noon Saturday April 3, 2021, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Chapel with her great-grandson-in-law Wesley Sanders officiating. Burial was in Whiton Cemetery with Adams Brown Service directing.
