Mike “Boogie” LaWayne Miller, 58, of Columbia, Tenn., and formerly of Arab died Friday, Aug. 27, 2021.
Mr. Miller was born Sept. 10, 1962, to Jimmy Wayne Miller and Ellen Jean Gilliam Miller in Marshall County.
He was employed through Securitas Security Services as a security guard.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking, listening to southern gospel music and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was a member of The Church of God.
He is survived by his wife: Lisa Skelton Miller; mother: Ellen Jean Hughes; son and daughter-in-law: Christopher and Towana Miller; daughter and son-in-law: Ryan and Luis Gutierrez; stepson: Noah Miller; grandchildren: Ayden Gutierrez, Addison Gutierrez, Levi Miller, Josiah Gutierrez, Madelyn Gutierrez and Braxton Miller.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Norman Gene Miller.
The funeral was Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel followed by burial in Gilliam Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Gilliam, Ethan Talley, Rusty Gilliam, Al Gray, Luis Gutierrez and Greg Combs.
