Margaret Ann Waldrop, 76, of Arab died Monday, May 16, 2022.
Ms. Waldrop was born Dec. 19, 1945, to Marcus and Mary Thompson Marsh. She was married to Doyce Waldrop, who preceded her in death Dec. 2, 2012.
She was a life-long resident of the Arab area. She retired from the Arab City School System after many years working at Arab High School in the cafeteria/lunch room.
She was a faithful member of Rocky Mount Primitive Baptist Church. She thoroughly loved her work at the school and her involvement in its many activities. She enjoyed part time work as an Avon representative, getting acquainted with and making new friends. She was an active member of the Eastern Star Amanda King Chapter #472.
She is survived by her son: Mickey D. Waldrop (Jana); sisters: Peggy Sparks (Gene), Sue Skelton, Barbara Jo Dobbs (Danny), Anna Belle Thomas (Bobby); grandchildren: Kaleigha Cramer, Seth Moore, Lane Waldrop and Ezra Cramer.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Judy Carol Waldrop; brothers: Cecil Marsh, Donnie Marsh, and Thomas Marsh.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Matt Jordan and J.T. Scott officiating. Burial was in Rocky Mount Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were Seth Moore, Chris Sparks, Ronnie Marsh, Clay Staton, Kolby Cantrell, and Kenneth Putnam.
