Louise Thomas, 100, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was a charter member of Highland Baptist Church where she faithfully attended for many years. She loved her church, her family and she loved to travel. She traveled many places. She especially loved to go to Gulf Shores with her daughter Dianne and her family. She loved to cook, loved her flowers, and her friends.
She is survived by her daughters: Pauline Abercrombie, Dianne (Charles) Gibb; son-in-law: George (Debra) Moss; four grandchildren: Shelia (Sammy) Wilson, Ken (Janet) Abercrombie, Chris Johnston, Scott Johnston; eight great-grandchildren: Kristi Dodelin, Lindsey Johnston, Madelyn Johnston, Wyatt Johnston, Samantha Franklin, Ashley Click, Daniel Abercrombie, Jenni Mills; seven great, great-grandchildren’ two great, great, great-grandchildren; and a sister: Dimple Beddingfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Jessie Leon Thomas; parents: Allie Burge and Lillie Mae Tucker; daughter: Linda Faye Moss; son: Jerry Leon Thomas; grandson: Craig Abercrombie; great-grandson; Matthew Wilson; and seven siblings.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Eldridge Criscoe officiating and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
