Lorrie Marie Duquette, 57, of Arab died April 25, 2019, in her home after a courageous battle with congestive heart failure.

Mrs. Duquette was born Aug. 16, 1961, in Tupper Lake, N.Y. to Gerald and Kathryn Brockway. She married her loving husband, Roy Duquette, on May 22, 1992.

She graduated from Tupper Lake High School in 1979. Her family moved to Arab, AL in 1995, and has lived there ever since.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, crafting, painting, reading, going to festivals, camping, and researching her family history and genealogy online.

She was also known for her kindness, generosity, and compassion for everyone she met. She often provided support to other cancer survivors as well as individuals and families affected by heart and lung diseases. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, MeeMaw, and friend.

She is survived by her husband: Roy Duquette; daughter and son-in-law: Jessica and Brad Watts; sons and daughters-in-law: Kory and April Duquette and Jason and Lindsay Duquette; mother: Kathryn Brockway; sister: Linda Pageau; and six grandchildren: Mitchell Duquette, Josie Duquette, Jakob Duquette, Lukas Duquette, Ben Watts, and Josh Watts.

There will be a meal celebrating her life at Arab First United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Friends, family and anyone of whom her life has touched are welcome to come anytime 2-4 p.m.
