Lena Rivers Parker, 86, of Union Grove died Friday, March 26, 2021, at her home.
Ms. Parker was born July 16, 1934, in Murfreesboro, Tenn., to Samuel Carson Bond and Rosie Mae Collier. She was married to Therman Parker, who preceded her in death.
She was retired from a manufacturing job and was a member at Beech Springs Baptist Church.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, watching game shows, watching Braves baseball, visiting yard sales and antique auctions.
She loved to watch Elvis movies and listen to his music.
One of her favorite times of year was Christmas.
She is survived by her children and in-laws: Polly and Donnie Thomas, Patsy and Anthony Nappier, Pamela and Garry Brown, Jackie and Dani Jo Davis, Phillip Parker and Tammy Barnett; stepson and in-law: Michael and Evelyn Parker; nine grandchildren: Michelle, Joey, Shanna, Jason, Jesse, Matt, Willie, Bridgett and Sam; a host of great- and great, great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law: Tommy and Deb Bond; and sister: Kathy Duke.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Josh Garmany officiating. Burial was in Union Grove First Baptist Church Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were Willie Parker, Matt Brown, Jason Thomas, Jesse Davis, Sam Davis and Joey Hubble.
