John Waldrop, 53, of Arab died Friday May 19, 2023 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mr. Waldrop was born July 29, 1969, to Milford and Lois Ann Dover Waldrop.
He was a 1989 graduate of Fairview High School, worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator for Harper Excavating.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, especially the grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Alice Creed Waldrop; three daughters: Chelce Waldrop, Joanie Daniels and Renee Copeland; eight grandsons; sister: Tina (Larry) Johnson; nephew: Chris Sivley; great niece: Kilynn Erwin; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Gober Funeral Chapel with burial in New Home Cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were Chris Sivley, Lynn Harper, Robert “Boomer” Tayler, Tommy Purser, David Creed, Chelce Waldrop and Dustin Stricklin.
Donations may be made at Gober Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
