John Wayne Thrasher, 63, of Arab died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, at his residence.
Mr. Thrasher was born Sept. 14, 1956, to Clatus Thrasher and Billie Jean Holland Thrasher.
He served more than 18 years in the United States Army and was a retired automotive technician tnstructor for the Cullman County Career Center.
He is survived by his wife: Judy Williams Thrasher of Arab; children and in-laws: Christie and Marcus Owens of Tuscaloosa, Kara and Tony Robinson of Prattville and Timothy Williams of Arab; brother: Simmie Thrasher of Arab; sister: Charlotte Graham of Georgia; stepfather: Milton Lovvorn; stepbrother: Henry Lovvorn; stepsisters: Penny Walker and Nancy Lovvorn; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Steven Funderburg officiating. Burial was at Mount Hope Cemetery in Bremen with Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were Bobby Joe Williams, Gary Law, Willie Pitts, Mckeinsey Pollard, Tim Hornsby and Mel Cantrell.
