Jessie McQuiston Walters, 82, of Union Grove died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at her residence.

Mrs. Walters was born Jan. 11, 1937, to William Ernest McQuiston and Lillie Queen Perkins McQuiston. She was married to John Robert “Walt” Walters, who preceded her in death.

She worked as a personnel specialist at the Redstone Arsenal.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Donna J. Blevins, Pat B. and James R. Clark; Maura “Casey” and Gary P. Campbell; sons and daughters-in-law: James “Jim Bob” and Mary Ann Walters, John David and Cindi Walter, Joe and Cyndi Walters, Jason and Tina Walters; grandchildren: Kenneth D. Frazier, Nichole R. Frazier, Gary P. G. Campbell, Joshua Walters, Jeremiah Walters, Justin Walters, Jessica Saxon; nine great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law: William “Charles” and Carolyn McQuiston, Eugene Patrick “Pat” McQuiston; sister: Frances Tillie Blevins.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, at Pine Ridge Baptist Church with Kenneth Smith and Larry Bishop officiating. Burial was in the adjoining  cemetery with Brindlee Mountain Chapel and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.

Pallbearers were Jim Bob Walters, Kenneth Frazier, Gary P. G. Campbell, James Clark, Gary P. Campbell and Glenn McQuiston.
