Jesse Franklin Moody 85, of Arab died Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Diversicare of Arab.

Mr. Moody was born Aug. 17, 1933, in the Summit community in Blount County to Jesse William and Nealie Yates Moody. He was married to the former Dollie Dimple Mount.

He served in the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. After serving he came home and worked in construction and farmed until declining health forced him to retire.

He is survived by his wife: Dollie Moody of Arab; daughter and son-in-law: Rhonda A. and Donald Borowicz of Green Bay, Wis.; son: Tony F. Moody of Arab; brothers: Jerry Moody of Arab and Terry Wayne Moody of Blountsville; sisters: Willie Mae Bullard of Springville, Lou Gill of Chicago, Ill., and Shirley Shedd of Baileyton; grandchildren: Ashlie N. Mann, Brandon F. Moody and Jessica D. and Eric Bolton; great-grandchildren: Kelsie P. Thomas, William Cash White and baby Bolton to arrive in November; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Eric Stone and Ennis Stone officiating. Burial was in Rock Springs Cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing.

Pallbearers were Jeff Mount, Keith Meade, Kevin Pentecost, Jacob Moody, Les Shedd and Jon Greer.
