Jennifer Lynn Daily Hayes, 47, of Arab died Aug. 28, 2020, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Mrs. Hayes was born Oct. 22, 1972, to Dorothy and J.B. Daily.  She married her high school sweetheart Bobby Hayes on Aug. 28, 1993.

She was a 1991 graduate of Arab High School and was always passionate about helping others. That led her to earn a bachelor of science degree in nursing from from the University of Alabama Huntsville. 

She went on to work at Huntsville Hospital in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for several years. She then started a career in the field of organ donation, where she worked as a procurement transplant coordinator for Legacy of Hope - formerly the Alabama Organ Center.

She was committed to life-long learning and received a masters of science in nursing in 2018. She recently continued her life-saving career in the field of donation with Buckeye Transplant Services. She was very passionate about saving and enhancing lives through organ, eye and tissue donation.  She brought a passion and enthusiasm to her job that is rarely seen.

She and her husband raised two wonderful children, welcomed two precious grandchildren, and cared for a plethora of dogs and cats. She embraced her large extended group of friends and family. 

She loved to travel, especially to Disney World. She was always ready for a road trip. She loved animals, Jeep rides and spending time with her friends and family. She had a wonderful smile that would brighten a room. She lived her life to the fullest. 

She is survived by her husband: Bobby Hayes of Arab; son and daughter-in-law: Bobby Jr. “B.J.” and Emma Hayes; daughter: Shelbey Hayes; mother: Dorothy Daily; brother and sister-in-law: Mathew and Michelle Dailey; grandchildren: Declan Conner and Emmett James Hayes; and a hose of nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, sisters-in-law and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a sister: Barbara Ann Daily; grandparents: Buck “Daddy Buck” McCoy, Clara Nell “Ninny” McCoy, Carl Daily, and Velma Daily. 

A celebration of life will be between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, at Union Chapel United Methodist Church. Attendees are asked to wear a mask.
