Jeanette Cooper, 64 and a life-long resident of Alabama, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019.

Ms. Cooper was born March 19, 1955, to Herbert and Emily Lemons.

She retired as a civil servant after more than thirty years. She was a devoted and loving mother, daughter and grandmother.

She is survived by her mother: Emily Lemons; daughter and son-in-law: Mandy and Jamie East; granddaughter: Claire East; sister and brother-in-law: Patti and Marshall Adams; niece and in-law: Ashley and Lance Joyner; great-nephews: Wyatt Joyner and Drake Joyner; and special companion: Nelson Martin.

Survivors include her mother, Emily “Ebbie” Lemons; daughter, Mandy East (Jamie); granddaughter, Claire East; sister Patti Adams (Marshall); niece Ashley Joyner (Lance); great-nephews Wyatt and Drake Joyner and special companion, Nelson Martin.

The funeral was at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, with Larry Bishop officiating. Burial was in Union Grove Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home directing.

Memorials may be made to the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation, 3601 CCI Drive, Huntsville, AL 35805 for lung cancer research.
