Garfield Jackson “Jack” Traylor Jr., 84, of Arab died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020.

Mr. Traylor was born March 22, 1936, in Marshall County to Garfield Jackson Traylor Sr. and Carmen Jetton Traylor. He was married to the former Barbara Brown for 62 years.

He was a retired instrument mechanic for Tennessee Valley Authority at the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant. He enjoyed quail hunting in his younger years with his dad and son, taking care of his farm and cattle, tending to his lawn and, most of all spending, time with his family. He was a member of the Arab First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara Traylor; son and daughter-in-law: Christopher and Cynthia Traylor; daughter and son-in-law: Kerri and Kelvin Minton; sister: Jo Hipp; grandchildren and in-laws: Laura and Clayton Liebner, Alicia and Jason Gilbert and Elizabeth LeeAnn Minton; and great-grandchildren: Charles Liebner, Jackson Liebner and Madelinne Liebner.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, at Arab First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nicky James officiating. Burial was in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.

Memorials may be made to the Arab First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
