Frances Virginia Corbin, 74, of Birmingham died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021, at Magnolia Ridge in Gardendale.

Ms. Corbin was born Oct. 27, 1946, in Blount County to Hoyt King and Bessie Mae Gross King. She was married to James Edward Corbin, who preceded her in death.

She spent her life working at home taking care of her family. She loved playing cards, reading, and puzzle books.  She loved her family and spending time with them, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son: Jerry LaWayne Corbin; daughter: Charlotte Landefeld; brother: Roger Dale King; sisters and brother-in-law: Linda Dunn, Kathleen and Floyd Franklin, Liz Lesley, Janice Jones; grandchildren: Kayla Marie Tennyson and Jenna Breann Corbin; great-grandchildren: Jaelynn Tennyson, Caleigh Tennyson, Cohen Tennyson, Cody Corbin, Raelynn Corbin and Kaden Corbin.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Robert King; and sisters: Martha King, Doris Murphree and Patricia Williams.

The funeral was at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.

Pallbearers were Blake Tennyson, Jimmy Williams, Jim Franklin, Heath Johnson, Geneva Yerby and Julie Jolley.
