Fannie Carr, 74, of Arab died Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at her daughter’s home in Meridian, Miss.
Mrs. Carr was born Nov. 11, 1948, in Huntsville to Percy Riggins and Daisy Fannie Marie Schrimsher Riggins. She was married to Robert Lee “Bob” Carr Jr., who preceded her in death Nov. 30, 2022.
She was a member of Life Gate Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Heath McBride, Tina (Percy) Chatham and Tina Neal; grandchildren: Chris (Brittany) Arnold, Chad (Kasey) Wilson, Christina (Chris) Spears, Scott Evans, Ariel Carr, Michael (Shae) McBride, Andrew (Brittany) McBride, Patrick McBride and Ashley Conklin; numerous great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by children: Dawn McBride, Robby Carr and Gina Carr; sisters: Joyce Shelton, Mamie Russell, Doris Hopkins, Jenny Luna and Shirley Riggins.
The funeral was at noon Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Jeff Mims officiating. Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were Chris Arnold, Christina Spears, Chad Wilson, Catherine Wilhite, Kohle Williamson, John Gilley, Josh Blakely, and Beau Williams.
