Edith Maxine LeCroy, 90, of the New Friendship community died Monday, Dec. 21, 2020.

Mrs. LeCroy was born July 7, 1930, to John Newton Dispennett and Martha Caroline Starkey Dispennett. She was married to Dock LeCroy, who preceded her in death.

She enjoyed traveling, fishing and tending to her flowers. She was an avid Alabama football fan and loved cheering on the Tide. In her later years, she found joy in reading, word puzzles and coloring books.

She was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Judy and Raymond Cox; sons and daughters-in-law: Ronnie Keith and Gail LeCroy and Rodney Kyle and Lisa Jo LeCroy; sisters: Margie Albright, Ruby Jewel and Imogene Dispennett; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sons: Charles R. LeCroy Jr. and Benny Dale LeCroy; and brothers: Herman Dispennett, Kyle Dispennett and Leon Dispennett.

The graveside service was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, at Brookwood Cemetery with Randy Blakely officiating and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.

Memorials may be made to Comfort Care Hospice.
