Clyde Douglas Isom, 78, of Arab died Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Ison was born Oct. 31, 1942, in Arab to Neal Clyde and Hazel Elizabeth Gunter Isom. He married the former Patricia Meharg on June 18, 1961.

He was a graduate of Arab High School and farmed for many years. He retired after working for Liberty National for several years.

He was a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Pat Isom of Arab; children and in-laws: Steve and Frankie Isom of Cummings, Ga., and Benny and Amy Isom, Donna and Keith Pritchett and Andy Isom of Arab; brother and sister-in-law: Mike and Rochelle Isom of Arab; sister-in-law: Cathie Meharg of Arab; grandchildren; and in-laws: Alexandria Isom and Nick White, Stewart Isom, Natalie and Neiman Wagner, Gunter Isom, Aaron and Emily Pritchett, Layton and K.C. Pritchett, Grace Ann Pritchett, Shelby Isom and Graydon Isom; great-granddaughter: Elizabeth White; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son: Tracey Blain Isom.

A private graveside service will be held at a later time at the Arab Memorial Cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Pritchett, Layton Pritchett, Gunter Isom, Stewart Isom, Graydon Isom and Nick White.
