A graveside memorial service celebrating the life of Doris and Dillard Light will be held on April 8, 2023, at 1 p.m. at New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Rusty Totter of Grassland Baptist Church in Franklin, Tenn., officiating.
Doris Light, 84, died Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at her home. She was born Nov. 2, 1935, in Arab to Bessie and Curtis Head.
Dillard Light, 89, died Oct. 8, 2022, at his home. He was born Oct. 4, 1933 in Arab to James Walter and Maddie Mooney Light.
The Light’s are survived by their three children: Debbie Harris (Stan), Tim Light, and Tony Light (Julie); grandchildren: Ashley Davis, Chelsea Fogerty (Shea), Dillard “Bo” Light (Ashley), Jordan Wilde (Ben), and Jacob Light; and great-grandchildren: Marshall, Abi, Parker, Cecilia, Liam, Ella, Holden, Lawson, and Grey.
In lieu of flowers or donations in their memory, the family requests that you consider sharing a random act of kindness with someone you don’t know.
