Donna Marie Cleland, 72, of Arab died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, at UAB Medical Center.

Mrs. Cleland was born March 1, 1947, in Haleyville to Riley V. and Willodean Hyatt Turner. She and Charles W. Cleland were married on June 3, 1964.

She was a 1965 graduate of Arab High School. She worked in several different vocations through the years, but before retiring as a cosmetologist.

She is survived by her husband: Charles Cleland of Arab; mother: Willodean Weaver of Arab; son and daughter-in-law: Scott and Juli Cleland of Arab; daughter and son-in-law: Chana and Heath Ridgeway of Arab; brothers and sister-in-law: Larry and Vanessa Turner and Dwight “Tuffy” Turner of Arab; grandchildren and in-laws: Chaz and Mel Cleland, Cara and Jes Smith, Taylor Ridgeway, Tanner Ridgeway and Chanan Cleland; great-grandchildren: Jason Roy, Charlie Cleland, Emry Smith and Judd Smith.

She was preceded in death by a sister: Anita Payne.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019, at Gober Funeral Chapel with David Chambers officiating. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
