Dean Deerman, 81, of Arab died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020, at Marshall Medical Center North.

Mr. Deerman was born Feb. 12, 1939, in Marshall County to Elbert David and Mildred Ruth Smalley Deerman.

He bought and sold cars for many years, was an avid car collector and especially loved Corvettes. He loved playing golf and loved attending the Master's Tournament.

He loved the beach and moved to Savannah, Ga., many years ago to be near beach. The latter part of Mr. Deerman’s life was spent in Humboldt, Tenn.

He is survived by his son: Eric David Ross of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters and sons-in-law: Deana and Karl Bauer of Ponpton Plains, N.J., Dee Dee Farris of Virginia Beach, Va., and Georgi and Greg Bragg of Huntsville; sisters: Diane Garrison of Arab and Susan Berry of Mount Olive; grandchildren: Connor Ferris, James, Henry and Charlie Bragg and Karlson Bauer; nephews: Kevin Garrison and Brant Berry; and nieces: Karin Hardin and Laura Berry.

The graveside service was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020, at Brashier’s Chapel Cemetery with Michael Hardin and Mike Shirley officiating and Gober Funeral Chapel directing.

Pallbearers were Kevin Garrison, Greg Bragg, James Bragg, Henry Bragg, Brant Berry, Wayne Wright and Bruce Smalley.
