Darryl Henry Sweat, 66, of the Scant City area died Wednesday, April 17, 2019.

Mr. Sweat was born June 25, 1952, in Marshall County to Melvin Glen Sweat and Zola Mae Padgett Sweat. He was married to the former Brenda Willis for 42 years.

He retired from the service department at Sears. He enjoys junking, finding a yard sale and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Brenda Sweat; sons and daughter-in-law: Craig Williamson, Buddy and Anna Sweat; grandchildren: Odessa Williamson, Austin Williamson, Tillie Ann Sweat, Henry Tate Sweat; sister and brother-in-law: Myra and Bill Nichols.

The funeral was at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Sweet Home Baptist Church with Tim Lynch, Jerry Burgett and Andy Brown officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.

Pallbearers were Steve Clark, Jamie Bradshaw, Austin Williamson, Tate Sweat, Brandon Light, Charlie Conner, Jerry Willis.

Honorary pallbearers were the Men of Joy Sunday school class and Charles Martin.
