Clovis Marie Smith, 78, of Arab died Thursday, July 23, 2020.
Mrs. Smith was born March 22, 1942, to Oliver Rutledge and Ruby King Rutledge. She was married to James Warren Smith for 53 years.
She was proud of her achievements in life, one being her bachelors degree allowing her to pursue a career as a computer programmer.
She was a member of the Arab Church of Christ and enjoyed partaking in small hobbies during her free time such as; gardening, planting and tending to her flowers, and loving on her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband: James Smith; son and daughter-in-law: Justin and Amber Smith; daughter and son-in-law: Christy and Clay Robertson; brothers and sisters-in-law: J.C. and Kate Rutledge and Clatus and Jean Rutledge; sister and brother-in-law: Clodean and Richard Corder; grandchildren: Austin Smith, Levi Kennamer and Aubrie Kennamer; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Belle Marie Smith.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2020, at Arab Church of Christ with Ken Tyler officiating. Burial was in Mount Oak Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were Austin Smith, Levi Kennamer, Jonathan Embry, Blake Scott, Luke Scott and Clayton Rutledge.
