Clarence Whisenant

Clarence Murray Whisenant, 89, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021 at Huntsville Hospital.

Mr. Whisenant was born Nov. 27, 1931 in Morgan County to Floyd Whisenant and Beedie Tyler Whisenant. He was married to Carlene Whisenant for 30 years.

He worked as a sign painter for Redstone Arsenal for 30 years

He is survived by his wife: Carlene Whisenant; daughters: Tammy Dotson of Atmore and Lisa Herenandez of Washington, Utah; brothers: Hubert Whisenant of Somerville, and Billy Joe Whisenant of Guntersville; grandchildren: Candace Powell, April Whisenant, Justin Herenandez, Jacob Herenandez and Alyssa Whisenant; four great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers: Hershell Whisenant and L.D. Whisenant; and sister: Ethel Dunn.

The visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb.12, 2021, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel followed by the service at 10 a.m. with Ken Tyler officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Morgan County with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
