Carolyn Collins Parker, 81, of Arab died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.

Mrs. Parker was born June 28, 1939, in Marshall County to Dewey Collins and Lucille Jones Collins. She was married 59 years to Billy R. Parker at the time of his death on Feb. 12, 2017.

She was a 1957 graduate of Arab High School and shortly after began her career in banking, starting at First National Bank of Guntersville. She retired from AmSouth in 1994, spending 37 years in banking.

She loved her church, family, friends, and most of all had an unwavering faith in God.

She is survived by her sisters and brother-in-law: Barbara Scott and Jane and Mike Saylor; brother and sister-in-law: Larry and Carol Collins; sisters-in-law: Bernice Collins and Marilyn Parker; brother-in-law: Bobby Parker; nieces and nephews: Mike and Donna Camp, Keith and Cindy Collins, Kevin and Heather Collins, Korey and Jennifer Collins, Kris and Chasity Collins, Jeff Saylor, Scott and Amber Saylor, Kay Scott, Lynne and Mark Wisener, Pam and Ronny Hornsby.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Leann Parker; sister: Nellie Ruth Camp; brother: Jerry Collins; brothers-in-law: Jimmy Parker, Kenneth Scott and Howard Camp; sister-in-law: Helen Parker; nephew: Mitch Scott; niece: Emily Collins.

A private family service was held Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at Union Hill First Congregational Methodist Church with Mark Wisener and Jon Minyard officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mike Camp, Keith Collins, Kevin Collins, Korey Collins, Kris Collins, Jeff Saylor, Scott Saylor and Mark Wisener.

Honorary pallbearers were Trenton Collins, Will Collins, Jay Collins, Jay Meeks, Jake Wisener, Reagan Saylor, Carson Collins, Brook Collins and Graham Collins.
