Thomas C. “Bud” Guger, 89, of Arab died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Guger was born March 20, 1931, in Cullman County to Isaac Guger and Edilean H. Bradley Guger. He was married to Virginia Guger, who preceded him in death.

He was retired from the street department for the City of Huntsville.

He is survived by his children and in-laws: David and Rhonda Guger, Sherry Blackmon, Jeffrey Deidra Banister, Barry and Wendy Banister and Randy Banister of Arab; brother and sister-in-law: Bobby and Sue Guger of Higdon; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Greg Stone officiating. Burial was in New Home Cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing.

Pallbearers were Jason Guger, Drake Banister, Greg Hughes, Kenneth Ott, Mike Baird and Michael Blackmon.
