Betty Lee Parker, 72, of Arab died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, at her residence.

Mrs. Parker was born Aug. 26, 1947, in Cullman County to Orvelee Cason and Mildred Lorene White Cason. She was married to James William Parker for 45 years.

Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, traveling and watching old westerns. Betty loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Pan Creek Missionary Baptist Church and attended God’s Way Ministries.

She is survived by her husband: James William Parker; son: Jason Pannell; daughter: LeAnn Parker; grandchildren: Jordan Pannell, Trenton Rainwater; brothers: Ricky and Marie Cason, Ronnie and Carol Cason; sisters: Patsy Bozeman, Judy and Ralph Fuller, Carla and Phillip Brakefield; host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters: Melba Whitman, Annette Cason; granddaughter: Kylie Brooke Parker.

The funeral was at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Kenneth Putnam officiating. Burial was in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.

Pallbearers were Trenton Rainwater, Chris Cason, Phillip Brakefield, David Whitman, DeWayne Fuller and LaMar Fuller.
