Beatrice King, 88, of Arab died Friday, Sept. 27, 2019, at her residence.

Mrs. King was born July 8, 1931, to Arthur Petitt and Vinna Moses Petitt. She was married to Woodrow King, who preceded her in death Jan. 26, 2009.

She loved sewing, watching cooking shows and cooking for her family to come over for Sunday dinner.

She was a member of 12th Ave Church of God.

She is survived by her daughter: Brenda King Freeman; sons and daughter-in-law: Charles R. and Brenda King, Elton L. King, Bobby Joe King; grandchildren and in-law: Ronnie Leon King, Clint Jameson King, Caroline and Thomas Kirkland, Kerry Blake, Robin Cannone, Ross Cannone; 10 great-grandchildren; sister: Bobbie Crisp; and brother: Felix Petitt.

She was receded in death by a grandchild: Richard L. King; and brothers: Brownie Petitt, Jimmy Petitt.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Jason Ditto officiating. Burial was in Mount Olive Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.

Pallbearers were Thomas Kirkland, Kerry King, Clint King, Dalton King, Randy Cryer & Ralph Burgett.
