Anna Holaway

Anna Louise Reid Holaway, 62, died Friday, June 4, 2021, after a long history of health issues brought on by an autoimmune disorder.

Mrs. Holaway was the daughter of Byron and Louise Reid. She was married to Steven L. Holaway.

She lived in Arab the past 15 years and was a graduate of UAH Nursing School. She served as an RN until her oldest daughter was born, when she became a dedicated stay-at-home mom.

She supported her husband in his 20 year service in the US Army. Wherever the Army took the family, she served the Lord in her local church and always sought opportunities to share the universal need of Jesus Christ saving individuals from their sins and making Him the Lord of their lives.

She made everyone she met feel like family. She always welcomed people into her home. She was filled with contagious joy and laughter, and her sense of humor brought smiles to many faces. Her wisdom and joy will be carried on through all of the individuals she impacted.

She is survived by her husband: Steven Holaway; daughters and son-in-law: Katie Holaway and Sarah and Houston Britt; and grandson: Harrison Britt.

Visitation will be at noon today, June 10, 2021, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with the service following at 2 p.m. with Jamey Pruitt officiating and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.

Pallbearers will be Spencer Durham, Darren Causey, Andrew Ennis, Andrew Reid, Nathan Reid and James Isaac Reid.

Memorials may be made to the Mission Fund at Gilliam Spring’s Baptist Church: https://onrealm.org/GilliamSpringsB/-/give/now
