Angeline “Angie” Selby Young, 72, of the New Canaan community of Arab died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020.
Mrs. Young was born March 24, 1948, in Morgan County to Lige Harold Selby and Ruth Nadine Lemons Selby. She was married to Paul Young, who preceded her in death.
She was a retired hair stylist and enjoyed camping, blue grass singing, attending church and visiting with her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Pine Ridge Baptist Church and was strong in her faith.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Shane and Deborah Young; brother and sister-in-law: Anthony and Tammy Selby; sisters and brothers-in-law: Hattie Selby, Linda Hall, Glenda and Jerry Daniels, Shelia and Bob Dunn, Maranda Patterson and Demple and Neil Bost; grandchildren: William “Zack” Young and Alexander Paul Young; as well as special friends and companion, Norman Allen and Tyler Jaco.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2020, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Kenneth Smith officiating. Burial was in New Canaan Cemetery in Arab with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were Thurston Turner, Tyler Jaco, Brian Bridges, Lawrence Sanders, Zack Young and Alex Young.
