A former Morgan City woman was found dead Sunday morning in Morgan County.

Morgan County Sheriff’s Office investigators identified the victim as Bobbie Jolynn Garrison, 43, of Lacey’s Spring.

Her body was found about 9:30 a.m. Sunday by a hunter in the Jenkins Court area just off Ala. 36 in the unincorporated part of Hartselle, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies responded to the initial call, located a deceased white female and secured the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.

Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn identified Garrison’s body and notified family members late Sunday.

The body was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Huntsville for an autopsy.

The cause of death remains under investigation.
