She had a servant’s heart, both to her family and to her patients.

Jeannette Harbin Townsend, 70, of Union Grove, died following a car wreck on U.S. 231 about six miles south of Arab.

The wreck happened last Thursday.

After a long career as a nurse, she retired a few years ago to be her family’s caretaker, according to her obituary.

State troopers said Townsend was fatally injured when the 2018 Honda Pilot she was driving crossed the center line and collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Audrey Lynn Klein, 73, of Florida.
