The Marshall County Commission is scheduled to futher discuss a possible car tag fee that would go to fund school resource officers in all 14 schools in the Marshall County School System.
The commission meets in a work session at 9 a.m. today followed by its 10 a.m. business meeting.
The commission held a public hearing two weeks ago where residents spoke for and against the tag fee.
According to Commission Chairman James Hutcheson, the school system currently has eight part-time school resource officers. The commission is gathering information on raising the fees for car tags for those who live in the county school district.
