A stand-your-ground hearing scheduled in the manslaughter case against Kenneth Don Malone of the New Canaan community just south of Arab was postponed.

The hearing was scheduled for late last week.

The defense filed a motion on July 22 asking for a continuance saying prosecutors had failed to turn over photos of the crime scene that are needed to conduct the hearing.

The judge in the case granted the continuance, but no new date was set.

Malone, was arrested last August and charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of Joshua Adam White, 35, of Guntersville.
