The Marshall County Board of Education elected officers last week and named a deputy superintendent.

Terry Kennamer was re-elected as board president, and Brian Naugher was elected as board vice president.

At Superintendent Dr. Cindy Wigley’s recommendation, Dr. Annie Spike was named deputy superintendent of Marshall County Schools. Before the promotion, Spikes was the special education supervisor in the central office.

Alan Garner remains as assistant superintendent.

Kennamer told the Tribune that when Phillip Cleveland resigned as a supervisor in the central office, the board decided split his duties among other employees rather than hire a new person.
