The Marshall County Revenue Office sent out property tax notices last week. That number represents tax bills only and doesn’t include exempt taxpayers, the office said. The notices include ad valorem taxes and business personal property taxes.

Property taxes in Marshall County are due between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31.

Penalties kick in Jan. 1, however, any payment postmarked by Dec. 31 will not include the penalty.

Penalties begin with $5 in January and interest begins in January starting at 1 percent increasing by 1 percent each month.

If you are going to mail in your payment, it can be mailed to the Marshall County Revenue Commission, at 424 Blount Avenue, Guntersville, AL, 35976.
