Crews working this week to remove material from U.S. 231 (looking north).

Alabama Department of Transportation officials will hold a public information meeting regarding U.S. 231 up and down Brindlee Mountain in Morgan County.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Arab City Hall.

Officials plan to address slide damage to U.S. 231, detour routes, a plan for the repair and an estimated time frame for the repairs, according to ALDOT spokesman Seth Burkett.

ALDOT representatives also will be available to answer questions and receive input following the presentation.
