Guntersville Lake Hydrofest will be this summer’s biggest event at the lake featuring four classes of hydroplanes and two concerts. The weekend of racing on the South’s fastest water will begin Friday, June 28 with testing and qualifying.

Competitive racing will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 29-30.

A free kid’s zone with waterslides, static displays and food vendors will round out the weekend.

Gates open daily at 8 a.m.

The boat ramps at Tom Jackson Park and Brown’s Creek, both located adjacent to Ala. 69, will close to the public at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, and not reopen for public use until 8 a.m. Monday, July 1.

These ramps will serve as the pit areas for four classes of race boats.

The racecourse will be located to the right of Ala. 69 coming from Arab. Access to this area of Lake Guntersville will be closed to personal watercraft Friday, June 28, through Sunday, June 30, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.
