In the legal section of today’s Tribune is a public notice about the effort to get Cherokee Ridge incorporated.
Cherokee Ridge is a residential golf course community about 8 miles north of Arab that was developed by the late Sid McDonald.
A petition by 120 of its residents has been filed asking Marshall County Probate Judge Andrea LeCroy to set a referendum for the residents to vote on whether or not to incorporate Cherokee Ridge into Marshall County’s newest town.
Cherokee Ridge currently has 160 homes and approximately 350 residents, with more houses being built.
