Mayor Bob Joslin told the Arab City Council Monday night the budget for the coming fiscal year could be ready by the next council meeting on Oct. 7.
“We’ve got all the department’s request in but it’s a wish list,” he said. “There’s about $1.4 million from those requests that will have to be cut.”
He said he hoped to get the final list to the council by the end of the week. The mayor said the city is in good standing financially.
“We’re going to be in great shape as far as expenditures versus income,” he said.
