The Tennessee Valley Authority is holding an informational meeting on the proposed new substation for Arab.

TVA has sent a letter to all property owners who will be affected by the construction notifying them of the meeting.

The project consists of rebuilding about seven miles of existing transmission lines to provide power to the proposed substation.

A detailed map showing where the lines will be built can be viewed at www.tva.com/transmissionprojects.

The meeting is planed for:

• Thursday, Sept. 12

• 3-7 p.m.

• The Old Greenhouse, 909 North Brindlee Mountain Parkway.
