Sometimes an idea just hits you in the face. Sometimes it hits you in the stomach.
For two local guys who have worked off and on with each other in the restaurant business in recent years, the idea to create a third-party home delivery food service for the Arab area has been percolating in their minds for some time.
One, Josh Gaddis, is from Arab but now lives in Union Grove. The other, Chris Sivley, resides in Joppa.
Needless to say, there have been times in their lives when they’ve wanted a good restaurant meal but didn’t want to go out. Their choices were limited to pizza delivery – in some cases, but not all – or ordering take-out and driving to Arab to pick it up.
For reasons to be explained, the two have relationships with numerous restaurants in Arab. They have their favorites, as all people do, so they know, for instance, what Midas Burger has to offer. Same goes for Milner’s Delight and other favorite dining spots in town, including Mexican restaurants and places that serve steak.
They had all this local knowledge – and certainly they love to eat – but nothing really clicked as far as putting together a workable business model to better serve the Arab area.
