The Arab High School homecoming parade is set for 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17.

The school is now accepting applications for entries. The applications (and liability waivers) can be downloaded at the school’s website:

Entries and liability waivers must be received at the school office located on Guntersville Road no later than Friday, Oct. 4. Any late entries must receive special approval and, if approved, will be placed at the end of the parade.

The parade will run north to south this year, beginning at Arab First Baptist Church and ending at the Snead Center on South Main Street.

Parade entries should enter the AFBC parking lot at the Guntersville Road entrance. Parents dropping off children must enter the parking lot from the Guntersville Road entrance and exit through the back of the parking lot.

Horses are not allowed in the parade, and handouts of a political nature or ideological nature are not allowed.

Also, any youth organization using a flatbed style truck/trailer must be staged and loaded at the Arab Elementary School parking lot.

The homecoming game is Friday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. as the Knights take on Madison County High School.
